Owner was accommodating and pleasant to deal with. Looking forward to renting from him next year.
This is the 2nd year we have rented this trailer from Mr. Carlos. It is an easy process and he is concerned for your enjoyment of the experience, very thorough walk trough to review all the ammenities.
We had a great experience! Pick up and drop off was smooth. Carlo made sure we understand how to use everything. RV was clean and everything was in working order. We look forward to the opportunity to rent again.
Very punctual, very kind, very professional, very honest. Highly recommended.
The rental was as expected and worked perfectly for our trip. Carlo was extremely accommodating on both the pickup and return times and walking me through the trailer setup, breakdown, and towing. The trailer was in good shape and relatively clean when I picked it up. The only item that could have been made clearer was the return time on the last day of the rental. I did not find that out until a few weeks before my pickup and ended up having to rent an additional day to be able to return in the afternoon. Fortunately it was not booked for that day and worked out well.
Carlo Joe was very easy to deal with, accommodating with pick-up and delivery times. The trailer was perfect for our needs, sleeping 7 and in the dry camping mode, not hook-ups. The separate 3100 watt generator provided the needed power to run the A/C unit, and took about a tank of fuel a day. With Carlo Joe's hitch and weight distribution set-up, the trailer towed easily and safely, big rigs and wind was no problem.
Nice camper for family use
Great RV and great guy
Brand new and very well maintained bumper tow trailer.
Our family rented this trailer from Carlo and James for a week+ vacation down the Oregon/California coast. We had a great experience with them. The trailer is newer and well maintained. They care about providing a great experience for their customers. I had several questions throughout the process, and they were always quick to respond to my email. Their fees are reasonable, and they're honest to deal with.
The pickup and drop off process was great. Carlo gave me a thorough walk-through of the trailer and its features and how to use it. I am fairly familiar with RVing and towing a trailer, but it was nice to get the specific details on using this particular trailer. They include a binder with well documented instructions on set up and take down and in using the trailer (AC, furnace, water, electrical, slide-outs, waste dump, etc.).
The trailer is very big overall. It has nice headroom and a very functional layout. The bathroom is very usable for an RV sized bathroom. We had plenty of hot water for showers and dishes. The refrigerator/freezer kept our food cold and has a lot of space. We were traveling as a family of 5, with 6 for a few days, so we took along an extra cooler for a little more space.
The back bedroom bunkhouse with the slide-out is great. Our three kids (it has four beds) had plenty of sleeping space. The two bunks in the slide are a little wider and the slide makes the room feel very big - not cramped at all.
Grandma slept on the bed that is made up from the dining table. It was great for her with plenty of room and quite comfortable. The table itself is pretty good sized for an RV. We were able to seat 5 around it by squishing a little for a few of our meals. The queen bed up front is simple, just a sleeping pad, not really a mattress. It is more firm (which I like) than plush, and plenty of room for two adults. My wife and I are both about 5'-8" and we fit fine. There is also a nice bank of cabinets above for clothes. The two on the outsides are fitted with rods to hang items. The mattress also lifts up easily with a gas strut assist for access to lots of storage underneath.
Outside the awning is flat out awesome. It is very large, powered, and has a great row of lights along the edge where it attaches to the trailer. They reflect off the bottom of the awning and really light up the area well.
It is also equipped with an outdoor kitchen at the back with a small cook top, sink, and refrigerator. The fridge only works when the 110 power is connected, so it would be great for keeping drinks or other things if you're going to sit at a campsite for an extended time. We moved from place to place almost every night, so we didn't really use it. We used the cook top for a few meals. It is quite small, but I was able to use a 12" skillet for bacon and "mountain man" breakfast. The sink was great for a quick hand wash without having to go back into the trailer.
It is also stocked with a reasonable selection of cooking equipment - pans, spatula, utensils, etc., as well as a good selection of board games like chess and Risk.
The trailer is set up with a Fastway e2 round bar sway control hitch. It worked very well for us. It is easy to hook up and unhitch, especially if you use the tongue jack to help get the spring arms on and off of the brackets. We had some high winds in Nevada, steep pulls both up and down in California along with the windy Hwy 101, and even a couple of spots where we had to brake pretty hard coming up on stopped traffic at a construction zone. The hitch was steady the whole way and towed great.
One issue we did have along the West coast (Hwy 101) was finding a gas station / fuel stop large enough to accommodate the length of my truck (F250 CrewCab) and the trailer. It was no problem along the freeway/highway through Utah, Western Oregon, and Nevada, where we looked for truck stops like Pilot and Flying J.
Another issue is getting it in to some of the smaller campgrounds. Make sure you check ahead and get a space with adequate room to maneuver if you're backing in, especially if you're not an experienced trailer backer-upper. We had the best success with pull-through sites. My recommendation is that this size trailer is best suited to be taken to a nice camp spot and parked for the duration of the stay, rather than road tripping from site to site.
Very good experience.
This trailer is exactly as advertised, it is clean, of good quality, and well taken care of. Our family really enjoyed our trip with this RV. We would love to rent again as the experience was seamless and the trailer fantastic.
