How to Rent an RV in Southeast Illinois

RV Rental in Southeast Illinois

Southeast Illinois has a culture and heritage all its own. With welcoming small towns and plenty of state parks and lakes for camping and fishing, you can spend a good long time in an RV rental in southeast Illinois. It also boasts lots of chowders, so make sure you set aside time to attend one. While "chowder" in New England means a thick seafood soup, in southeast Illinois the word refers not only to the soup that's eaten but to the social gathering where the soup is made and served. Every community has its own (often secret!) recipe, but everyone starts with salt pork, onions, and cubed potatoes. The chowder is cooked outside in huge cauldrons for about four hours before it's served. Southeast Illinois is home to several chowders, so be sure to leave time for that in your schedule.
