RV Rental in Northwest Florida

A wonderful perk when you rent an RV in northwest Florida is that there is lots of camping right on the beaches. You don't have to leave at the end of the day -- simply retire to your motorhome rental and watch the light change. Or come back after a long day of exploring and let the kids play in the surf while you unwind and watch them nearby.

If you're in Florida to vacation at beautiful sandy beaches and take a dip in the aqua waters of the Gulf of Mexica, a visit to Destin Beach should be near the top of your list.

Henderson Beach State Park

Located in Destin, Henderson Beach State Park is a great home base from which to explore northwest Florida in your RV rental. The park has over 6,000 feet of natural scenic shoreline and is home to sand pines, scrub oaks, and dune rosemary. Boardwalks make getting down to the beach easier. There are pavilions available for picnicking and grilling, and a playground for kids. There is also a short nature trail that takes visitors through the coastal dune ecosystem and is home to local wildlife. Beachgoers can swim or fish at the shore. The beach is also ADA accessible and there is beach wheelchair availability.

Where to Camp

Camp right at Henderson Beach. The campground has 60 campsites that include water and electric hookups, as well as access to the air conditioned and heated bathhouse. Guests at the campground also have a separate beach access with outdoor showers.

Florida Caverns State Park

The Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna is the only state park in Florida that offers cave tours to the public. Visitors can see amazing limestone stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws, and flowstones in the caverns. Guided cave tours are available year-round except Thanksgiving and Christmas. The tours can sell out, so check with the ranger station to make sure there is space available on the day you wish to go.

Rivers that flow through the park offer spots for fishing, canoeing, and boating, and there's even a nine-hole golf course at the park.

Where to Camp

Florida Caverns State Park has campsites available with electric and water hookups. Pets are welcome as well. Trails near the campgrounds offer six miles of hiking, walking, cycling, and horseback riding along the Chipola River.
