Walt Disney World

The Walt Disney World Resort is an entertainment complex in Bay Lake, Florida and is the flagship of Disney’s worldwide theme park empire. According to Forbes, it is the most visited vacation resort in the entire world, with an attendance of 52.5 million annually. There is over 27,000 acres that house 27 themed resort hotels, four theme parks, two water parks, four golf courses, one camping resort, one residential area, and additional recreational and entertainment venues. The main theme parks include the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This biggest misconception about Disney World is that it is just for children, which couldn’t be further from the truth. People of all ages, babies to seniors, will have the time of their life while here. It is one of the greatest entertainment venues every created, if not the greatest.

The Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom Park, commonly known as Magic Kingdom, it the first built of the four theme parks at Walt Disney World. It is the most visited theme park in the world and has been for the last five consecutive years. The most famous feature of the park is Cinderella Castle, a giant replica of the fairy tale castle from the film. While you’re here you can enjoy amusement rides, games and contests, little ones can interact with famous Disney characters, eat at several different restaurants or concessions stands, shop at numerous stores for authentic souvenirs, and catch the 12-minute fireworks spectacular that is truly astounding. You could spend all your time here during your trip and not come close to running out of things to do and see.

The Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the fourth of four theme parks built at Walt Disney. It opened on Earth Day, April 22, 1998 and is now the second largest theme park in the world, behind Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. The parks most famous feature is the Tree of Life, a sculpted 145-foot-tall, 50-foot-wide artificial tree. The park is divided into seven different themed areas that represent animals from different parts of the world: Oasis, Discovery Island, Africa, Refiki’s Planet Watch, Asia, DinoLand U.S.A., and Pandora: The Land of Avatar. You can also enjoy several different restaurants, cafés, and shops such as the Rainforest Café, Yak & Yeti, Tusker House, Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, Tamu Tamu, and Restaurantosaurus.

Epcot

Epcot is the second of four theme parks built at Walt Disney World and is more than twice the size of the Magic Kingdom Park. It is dedicated to the celebration of human achievement, especially technological innovation and international culture, and is often referred to as a “ In 2013, the park was host to over 11 million guest, making it the fifth most visited theme park in the world. The parks most famous feature is Spaceship Earth, a geodesic sphere that also serves as an attraction. Future World at Epcot consists of a variety of pavilions that explore innovative aspects of technology such as Spaceship Earth, Innoventions East & West, Universe of Energy, Mission: SPACE, Test Track, the Seas with Nemo and Friends, The Land, Imagination!, and Wonders of Life/Festival Center.

The Tropical Palms Resort & Campground is located in Kissimmee, Florida, approximately 10 minutes Southeast from the Walt Disney World Resort.
