Baldwin Park is a town located in the central San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County, California. Baldwin Park began as a small settlement in 1833. Originally called Vineland, it was renamed Baldwin Park in 1907. It was settled by immigrants from Ireland and Germany who were farmers. Today, the population is made up of predominantly Hispanic residents. It has a total land area of 1.9 square miles and a population of around 73,000 people.
