Great experience

Review:

Overall, we were extremely happy with everything about this rental and our trip. Chris saved the day for us when the trailer we originally intended on renting cancelled on us with less than a week before our departure. We were able to get everything organized with Chris in record time thanks to his quick replies and willingness to prepare the trailer for us with nearly no notice. The trailer itself is practically new being a 2017 and in great shape, both mechanically and with its interior. In fact, we were the first people to have ever rented it. So, no wear and tear you’d expect with many RVs whose owners are willing to rent it out. The exception being some scratches done by Chris’s own cat on some of the seats. He was very upfront and honest about it to start with and we didn’t find it to be bothersome at all. Needless to say, those with cat allergies should take precautions. All of this means the trailer is very pet friendly. Not a common find given the trailer’s near perfect condition. Chris is new to RVing with this being his first. So, he is still learning and adding to the trailer’s supplies as he discovers what is useful to have. I think he has a great start with the trailer being reasonably stocked with much of what you’d expect. As you can see in the description and pictures, this is not a small trailer. I have a considerable amount of towing experience and personally found it easy to tow and maneuver with my Chevy 2500HD. I did not use a weight distributing hitch and had no problems on the mountainous two-lane highways we traveled on for about 200 miles. This was on the upper end on my truck’s hitch limit. I know because I took the time to look it up first. With any larger trailer, one needs to be honest about their own driving skills and their truck’s abilities. The lot in which the trails is stored has some very tight places and requires you to back it into its spot when returning it.

Wonderful camper—my eighty year old parents slept great and were able to have a great time while the rest of us tented it. Matt is very, very nice and went out of his way to make everything wonderful. Really excellent experience!

Review:

Trailer had plenty of amenities, unfortunately we didn't have the best experience due to the electronic braking system was shorting out. The owner was not concerned the braking system was turning off when we left his house. I was very concerned for the safety of others on the road and my family so I took it to a trailer hitch repair shop. There they found the wire in the axle was shorting the system out. I contacted the owner and he said he will repay me for the repair. I took pictures and send them to the owner plus brought him the shorted wire out of the axle. This took 5 hours out of travel day causing us to get to our site 20 minutes before dark. Then while jacking up the trailer to disconnect the crank handle broke off and the hitch was barely able to clear my tow ball. I was unable to lower the trailer our whole stay, but managed to use another vehicle jack to raise and disassemble the broken jack when it was time to leave. The owner promised to repay me 2 weeks ago and I am hoping he follows through by the end of today 7/16/18. The owner seems honest and caring about renting a safe trailer. I feel the trailer size is very roomy. But be cautious you must have some towing capacity to haul this trailer.

Wow.... Just wow. This is glamping at its finest. The camper had everything and more than we could have asked for. The owners were great to work with and they even delivered the camper to us. It was the best possible experience I could imagine.

Our experience using Austin's trailer was flawless from start to finish. Great communication, easy pickup, easy drop-off. Austin take s a lot of pride on his trailer and treats her very well. She's exceptionally clean and very much in like-new condition (as of July '18). We really enjoyed our long weekend. Thanks Austin.

Review:

This is my second time renting through RV share and I am an experienced camper. Our trip renting from Gene and Valerie started out a bit odd. We requested the RV a day early and they agreed for a cash consideration… It was eventually negotiated that I should pick it up by 7 AM to accommodate Gene’s work schedule. I showed up to a motor home that had been rented out to a couple of young men. They had not provided the security deposit nor any insurance. They had scraped down both sides and dented the cargo compartments. There was a tree branch stuck in the side wall of the motor home and the awning braces were badly dented and racked. Both the grey and black water was completely full and the propane was empty. It was low on fuel and Valerie had just finished steam cleaning the carpets for the second time. Gene had hung a TV in the front of the rig… I took it in stride and used the opportunity to drive, fuel and dump the rig with the owner along to insure I could handle his RV. All went well for the first couple days of the trip. Gene was texting me daily to make sure things were OK. When we went to start the generator on the third day and get on the road, it would not run. Our route took us through the central valley of California and it was 106* with no AC. It was a very miserable day… I spent the next day in the Lake Tahoe area with a local friend removing the generator and getting it repaired in Reno and re installing it. My family had fun and I put in a day of work on a rental RV… The generator worked great in the following days through Nevada to the Grand Canyon and into the hills of Arizona. We made our way to Lake Powell and were thankful for the AC. (The unit runs off of propane.) During the night, the water pump kept cycling, I assumed that the check valve was allowing pressure to leak back and it would run for ten seconds every ten minutes or so. What was actually going on, was the water heater had started leaking. We were heating water and pouring it in the desert. The grateful desert drank it up and left no trace. It did burn up all of the propane that the generator was using to make electricity, though. I discovered this bright and early the next morning. We abandon plans for a morning swim and hurried to dump the tanks and get to a propane supplier. The generator ran out of fuel about 10 minutes later while we were dumping fuel and filling water. (This particular Onan must run to cool and must cool to preserve the function of its voltage regulator, so I was in a hurry to get propane.) Just as we prepared to pull out of the dump station, the main airline that de activates the parking brake melted on the side of the generator housing and the brakes were locked on. In my career, I have worked for years as a marine engineer and am currently a Captain of a tug and barge in Alaska. I grew up driving semi-trucks, log trucks and dump trucks. I worked as an auto mechanic in the town of Truckee, California (…these connections allowed me to repair the generator in that town days before). Had I not had the experience to draw upon and an extensive tool kit packed with me, this RV would have been stuck blocking the RV dump site at Wahweap campground. The nearest tow would have to come from Kanab ($195/hr. x 5 hr.) and a mobile repair would be $150 call out and $125/hour door to door from their shop… It took me about 30 minutes to locate and fix the problem. I was covered with dirt and starting a day’s travel… We got to the propane station and re-started the generator, (thanks be to the Lord above…) The temperature was climbing out of the 80’s and it was going to crack 100 again… About two hours later the generator died again. I guess it did not take the sudden outage well after all. We continued our trip sweating all day in the RV while travelling and then insuring we had a 50 amp service each night so we could cool things off enough to sleep. It forced us to stay in RV parks that we would not have chosen had we been able to pursue our original route. We were often in long term parks with dirty, sour, dubious, neighbors, but with a solid plug in and blessed Air Conditioning. We all had to be conditioned to only turn on the water heater when we needed water and plan 15-20 minutes a head so it could heat up. When we were travelling we constantly had to turn the pressure pump on and remember to turn it off, lest the water tank be pumped out through the leaking water heater. One day the TV that was mounted above the driver fell off while we were on the highway. There were some tense moments getting to the shoulder, but no one was hurt. The ice maker connection leaked and put out the refrigerator pilot, (I followed the dripping water and fixed the leak before we lost our food…) We cut our trip short and returned the RV to Gene and Valerie three days early. (We had originally rented for two weeks plus the early pick up.) My family was worn out with all of the quirks and rules I was imposing. They did not like the parks we were staying in. The fun was going out of the trip. I gave Gene a thorough run down of all of the problems and made suggestions on how to improve function. I remounted the TV securely. I showed him why the leveling jacks were binding up. I took care of his RV as if it was my own and returned it cleaner than I got it. Gene said that he had no mechanism for refunding unused days (I did not mention the cash I had given him to pick it up a day early…) He suggested that he only charge me $200 for over mileage costs instead of the $381.60 that was calculated after I filled the rig with propane from empty. I suggested that I get my entire $500 deposit back in light of the failures of the mechanicals of the RV and our early return. (Not to mention the work I personally put in to mechanical repairs…) We failed to agree and I told him to do what he felt was right as he had control of the deposit money through RV Share any way. What he felt was fair was to charge me the full amount of the mileage charge ($381.60) and continue to correspond with me about the RV. I guess Gene felt that he had undercharged me for the rental and was going to grasp all of the money he could legally do from me. He had been screwed by the previous renter and had a torn up RV to fix. The generator was broken again (I did suggest a design improvement that may fix the problem…) But he was not going to consider letting go of any ready monies, even to the extent he had originally proposed as a fair settlement. I was the second renter for this unit and the first who knew how to operate an RV. I would not suggest you rent this unit without a mechanic on call and a promise of weather below 80 degrees. Gene and Valerie just bought this unit and put it on the market. I got to work out a bunch of bugs and pay for the privilege. They are very lucky we did not leave the thing sitting in the RV dump on the southern border of Utah and fly home.

Joshua and his wife made sure that we have everything we might need (pillows, bedding, camping stuff, board games etc) and even a busket with all we need to make perfect s’mores in the evening! My father wanted to give his grandchildren the RV experience, so we decided to rent from Derek. We made the reservation far in advance, and I am so glad we did because Derek said his schedule is really full. We were going crabbing in Deception Pass and had a campsite with an RV hookup, so we actually paid a delivery/pick-up fee to have Derek bring the RV to us to help us hook it up. It worked out very nicely because we were not planning on driving it anywhere and were only using it to sleep and to hang out in. The RV was really clean and looked very impressive inside. It was a little difficult to know what amenities to expect (Derek said people have been taking stuff from the RV and been making it difficult to keep up inventory), but we had brought our own utensils, etc., so it wasn't a problem. Derek was very communicative and text me to let me know when we should expect him for drop-off and pick up. He also told us to call/text him if we ever had problems or questions (which we didn't need to since everything was working perfectly). The best part is my father got serious credibility with the grandchildren, and he wants to do it again every summer. We would definitely rent from Derek again. :D

We rented the trailer from Kyle for our annual camping trip. We could not have asked for a better experience! The trailer was super clean, organized, properly stocked with all supplies to clean and cook with. I was so impressed that there was a toaster, Keurig coffee machine, blender, mop, vacuum, paper towels and Windex to name a few! We requested the bedding for the bunks and the master bed, the bedding was clean and the beds were made and ready to go! Our suburban was able to pull the trailer smoothly and we had no issues whatsoever. Kyle gave a thorough walk thru at pickup and was able to answer any questions we had. Our camping trip was a blast and this trailer made things so easy! We used the outdoor kitchen a lot! The kitchen inside has tons of counter space! The trailer was the perfect size for our family of 7! We will rent this trailer again for any of our camping trips!

From the basics to the amenities, it was all there! I took this class C to Eastern Washington with my wife and it was perfect. The RV drove really well. The propane, electrical appliances, and everything else worked as it should. Not only was RV smooth, the owner Kandy was extremely helpful explaining what was necessary with the RV. The RV has many storage locations and in each one was a nice surprise of camping gear, fishing poles, and whatever else may randomly pop up on a summer vacation as you head out. Not only was the RV engine in great shape, the owner thought of the little things that could make the get away. I highly recommend this RV to anyone interested. I will book again.

The RV drove nicely, good brakes and gas milage. Problems: once the engine was turned off, coach battery was dead in 5 min.
