2015 Forest river R pod

Review:

We can't talk enough about the excellent rental experience we had with Tom and his R-Pod 179 ! Communication was excellent from the start...texting on ETA..taking my calls each and every time...even waiting on his front stoop for our arrival. We were so impressed that Tom had everything anyone would want & need for our trip...small propane tanks for gas grill, paper towels, cleaning stuff, grease for the hitch if needed, WD-40 for the the outside R Dome, EVERYTHING !!! So thorough in explaining everything we needed to know....and we needed that since we were "newbee's". No doubt we would rent from Tom again and a great guy to top it off.

Sherry and rick made renting so easy. Their rv was perfect for my large family of 7. My wife and I and our 4 kids plus an infant fit great and had a blast. The slides made it the rv huge, everything was so easy to use. It was my first time using an rv and I had no issues whatsoever. Rick and sherry are quick to respond as well. Excellent experience highly recommend!

Leandro is such a nice person! Very responsive to our questions and accommodating about pick up and drop off times. He even took us to a local store to try to get an adaptor for the electrical connection. The camper was super clean, comfortable, and easy to set up and take down.

This was our first RV rental weekend getaway and our first experience with RVShare. James was great to work with and we loved "June Bug" so much we requested to extend the rental by 1 day so we could stay longer. James was happy to oblige. We would definitely do business with him again. Already planning our next trip.

A really nice RV. Jamie did a great job familiarizing me with it. This was my first RV rental in 35 years. Set-up and breakdown were much easier than I expected. I hope to do it again and if the geography were to work out, I'd take Jamie's RV again.

I tried renting this travel trailer, and at first Cody was great to work with, flexible etc. But there was a problem with the electrical connection, so I wasn't able to ever haul it or use it for camping. I've tried several times to reach out to schedule a replacement date and neither Cody or RVShare will return my messages, so I'm extremely disappointed. They've got my money, and I suppose I'm out of luck. I'd love to hear back so I can change this review. I guess there's always Small Claims Court...

Harvey is Marvey! This was our first adventure in a RV. I was a bit nervous, but Kathleen and Dave made it so easy to learn the systems and operate the vehicle that I felt very comfortable after a few miles down the road. They are truly wonderful folks to work with! While Harvey ("Harvey" <> "RV", get it?) has seen some miles, he was in amazing condition. Driving was about as easy as a 31-ft vehicle can get. We saw our best gas mileage (~9.8-10) driving 50 to 55mph. Kathleen and Dave have outfitted Harvey with about everything you will need for a vacation! We brought too much stuff and really could have limited our "carry ons" to just toiletries and food. Thanks to both of you for making first-timers feel so comfortable and well-supported!

This was our first time driving an RV. John was extremely helpful, easy to communicate with and walked us through the important processes to make our camping trip a success. He gave us a Quick driving lesson at pick up and was available by cell for any issues or concerns. There were convenient items in the RV for cleaning and cooking, helpful manuals and flashlights for seeing outside at night. We will definitely rent from John again!

Owners were accommodating in letting me move my booking around, and flexable with my pick up and drop off times, but overall, the unit was not clean; I had to clean it at my house before I would take my young family in it. The grill that comes with it wasn't cleaned in who knows how long. The fridge was gross. In terms of functionality, the pop-up worked, but I had to duct tape the door shut and put fasteners underneath so my kids wouldn't fall out of the pop up when it was up.

Mark was excellent to work with! His training was most helpful, especially since we had never used an RV. We had a wonderful time and had plenty of space for 2 adults and 4 young children. Mark was easy to reach with questions while on our trip. If we take another trip we would book again in a heartbeat.

What a great experience, I don't know where to begin! First, Mark was a pleasure to deal with, highly responsive, reasonable and accommodating. The RV itself was exactly as depicted, even better in person actually. Clean, comfortable, Mark provided lots of nice little amenities that made our travels easier. We had a great time and would absolutely rent from Mark again. Our favorite was taking the RV to the beach for the day - we would set up the awning and chairs, make bacon & eggs and coffee at the camper..... go to the beach for a few hours and come back up for lunch.... it was so convenient and easy to drive - just a blast. Thank you Mark, we will be seeing you again! Kathleen & Kendall

This was our first RV trip, and we are thrilled with how it turned out. Raul was helpful over the phone from day one, answering all of our newbie questions very patiently. When we came to pick up the RV, Raul and Mary were very nice, encouraging, and thorough in explaining all of the in's and out's of the RV itself. The RV was the perfect size for our family of four, and it was easy to drive and to navigate at the camp sites. We will not hesitate to rent from them again if we get another opportunity.

2014 CONDO ON WHEELS Hurricane Thor

Review:

We booked this RV with the promise that it would be delivered and picked up from our house if we booked it by April 1st. This was very important to us and we planned our departure around her promised delivery time. Two days prior to our departure, we got a text from Kimber saying she could not deliver at the set time. She could deliver late which would've delayed our departure, or we could pick it up the night before and then drop it off after our trip at a 1/2 way point. No apology was offered for this inconvenience nor any compensation for the time and effort we now had to put in so that we could leave for our vacation on time. Additionally we were told the unit was professionally detailed and we paid $100 cleaning fee, yet we found hair and crumbs around the mattresses, the outdoor fridge had not been cleaned at all and the floor was very dirty as was discovered when some water spilled and I wiped it up; the paper towel was brown with filth. The unit is also listed as "no pets ever", which was important to us as one of our children has pet allergies, but when we lifted the kitchen cushions we found all sorts of blonde pet hair. She had told us that a prior renter had smoked in the RV, which is listed as Non Smoking, and although she said she'd be filing a claim against them, it seems no money or effort was put in to remove the unpleasant smell. Most disappointing was that when we returned the unit after taking very good care of it including fixing the outdoor kitchen door which was not latching or locking when we took possession, Kimber decided to hold us accountable for the microwave not working when on the generator, which we wouldn't have known since a) she never demonstrated that it did work on the generator and b) we never used it on the generator during our trip but it worked perfectly fine when on shore power. She's also holding us accountable for the bottom kitchen drawer which, during our trip, stopped latching for travel, but through no fault of our own. It slid out while we were traveling and we couldn't figure out why or how to fix it. Still, we did nothing to cause this but she has filed a claim against us for both microwave and kitchen drawer. As a matter of courtesy to Kimber, we noted other things that we found weren't working properly so that she could proactively fix them before they became a problem for her or future renters; kitchen tap kept falling off, a window screen was falling, etc, but as we were showing her these things she indicated that we would also be financially responsible for them. No appreciation for us trying to help her out. Such a disappointing way to both start and end what was a fabulous family vacation.

Jonathan made renting the RV SO easy. He was very flexible with pick up and drop off times, and made sure we knew exactly how everything worked. He even checked in with us while we had the RV to be sure we had everything we needed. It was a very comfortable place and met our needs perfectly. I highly recommend both this RV and the owners!

This was our first experience using RVShare and I'm afraid that the experience was so good, that it set the bar too high. Everything from the communication, pickup, RV quality, to drop off was so wonderful, that I don't know if it was beginner's luck or just that Jim and his family were just that great.

Review:

The RV worked out great for our trip. All the features and facilities worked well with some minor exceptions like the plastic panel on the door was missing, one of the fans didn’t work and the fire extinguisher had been used. The only problem was that at pickup time, both the interior and exterior were very dirty and the refrigerator smelled terrible. While the surfaces may have received a quick wipe down, this was going to be our home for the next 12 days, so we spent several hours cleaning the inside and outside. Once cleaned, it looked almost new and we would rent it again.

Review:

The experience met or exceeded our expectations. The equipment was ideal for our mission to spend most of a week with our two teenage grandchildren in New York State. Although not new it was very clean, well maintained, and cared for as a valued family resource with many amenities one would not expect in a commercial rental. Audio/video upgrades, truck GPS, large refrigerator freezer, coffee maker, carpet, chairs, firewood, grill, tools, and much much more were the kinds of things one finds in a personal vehicle. It had tons of room with the slid outs, comfort in ride and livability with ample closets and storage to put things away. The owners are delightful, very accommodating and were eager to share valuable support and consideration.
