Review:

The pickup and explanation of this rental was easy. The popup was clean and decently well stocked with items in the description. I acutally found the queen bed to be quite comfy. Even though we tried both propane and electric options, the refrigerator never did get cold enough for us even to leave cheese and eggs in there... our butter actually softened while in the frig (later the owner told us that if the frig is on the south side and its hot outside, the refrigerator struggles). Our problem came on the third day when an alarm sounded in the popup camper. We could not turn it off and had to cover it with a bag of clothes until it drained the battery. It turned out to be a propane indicator alarm but we checked the propane and it was still full. We had to drive out of the park and into town to contact the owner who wasn't exact sure and told us to air out the camper in case it was from the BBQ cooking on the outside. We did that and charged the camper. I was hesitant to sleep in the camper with my family since this was a gas alarm. The following morning the alarm went off again at 6:30 am at a very busy camp ground and we hadn't cooked inside or outside of the camper that morning. Still unable to turn it off, I put a bag against it so not to wake the world. Again it drained the battery before turning off. When it happened for a third time that afternoon, we decided to leave cutting our trip short. This was a disappointment to my kids as well as a waste of money. Later the owner said it was due to a faulty battery. This ruined our vacation. The owner refunded only $60.00 of almost $400.00 of this trip where we had a faulty battery and an alarm sounding. Sigh.

Review:

Dusty runs a professional operation. They are an RV service center, and very personable and professional. The RV was like new and very reasonably priced. We loved our vacation. It didn't use as much gas as I thought it would. It climbs mountains well. The slide-outs are easy to use and makes for a spacious interior. The RV came with every amenity needed- dishes, utensils, grill, tables and chairs, and even pool floats. It has two AC units plus a "fireplace" heater, which was really cool- looks like a real fireplace. Heat has option for electric or propane, as does the refrigerator. We spent some time off-grid camping and only had to use the generator a few hours a day. The battery banks provide plenty of power for lights and basics. You do need to run the generator for heat and A/C. We are already planning another trip and will rent from Dusty without hesitation. This review is for the Fleetwood Bounder 35k. It is a wonderful RV to rent, and the price is very reasonable. Consider this before you rent a Class C. It's close in price and WAY nicer!

Great RV, just as depicted in description. Ryan took time to explain the vehicle so we felt comfortable as this was our first time driving an RV. We had a full hook up site, so no need to worry about using the generator/water. We had a 2 & 4 year old with us, and was just the right size for a young family/couple. The experience was a great way for us to get some RV experience to decide if ownership is for us. Ryan was flexible, and had great communication throughout, making it a fun and enjoyable trip for our whole family. Great memories!

Jason and Tammy are great hosts. They make time to thoroughly review the operating instructions of their travel trailer. Jason and Tammy are available at any time to answer questions concerning the operation of the travel trailer. The unit itself works very well for a family of four. The A/C system adequately cools the unit. Great experience!

2004 Winnebago Cheiftain

Review:

Renter beware; this unit is not rented by the owners but by a business. This was not disclosed. The unit advertises sleeping 4 so we wrongly assumed 4 adults. Reality is the couch is considered a bed even though it does not sleep two. We had to buy a blowup mattress for our trip. A/C in driver's cab did not work. Leveling system did not work. Unit was full of the owner's junk some of which we had to remove to make room for our items. We had to ask to have the fridge cleaned because it had bugs in it. Overall a poor experience; we turned it in early and cut our trip short. Go elsewhere, use Outdoorsy.com.

Maria and Jay made this experience fantastic. What stood out most for me was how well our Hawk trailer was outfitted. Maria thought of everything, from flashlights and a shoe box by each door to a "whoops" box full of possibly forgotten essentials like toothpaste and batteries. All we had to pack was food, clothes, and our bike equipment. They made it so easy. Pickup was efficient and deliberate. Maria had prepared a detailed notebook with photos and descriptions of all the key elements of the trailer. I was able to plan my packing and menu properly because I knew in advance what cookware was available. At pickup Maria and Jay gave us a complete tour of their trailer. We really felt like we knew our way around once we got on the road. Thanks guys! We are your loyal customers. We will fight the lines to rent from you again. Wishing you the best of luck!

This is the second and final time our family has rented this RV. On our sencond trip, the waste water was not emptied from the previous renter, so I had the pleasure of dumping someone else’s waste water in the middle of our trip while paying the optional $50 dump fee. A refund from the owner for the dumping fee was declined.

Chris is the best! He always responded right away to any questions we had throughout the entire process and alleviated any concerns I had about the rental. Since the RV wasn't booked right away following our trip, he was flexible with pickup and return time. His RV was in perfect condition and had all the extras you could possibly need to ensure an awesome adventure on the road. He was patient and knowledgeable when giving us first time RV users instructions on how to handle the Coachmen. The RV was a smooth ride and handled perfectly on Colorado mountain roads. I would definitely recommend Chris and his Lucky Charm! Thanks so much, Chris!

Review:

We have been dreaming of a Colorado camping vacation for a long time and contemplating purchasing a small camping trailer as we get closer to retirement. Obviously the smart thing to do would be to rent a camper and try it out, and that's exactly what Maria and Jay's SunRay tear drop allowed us to do. Our entire experience with Maria and Jay, and with the camper, was excellent. The SunRay is essentially a double bed on wheels with a small kitchen attached, and that is all we needed, as we just wanted to be outside in the glory of the Rockies. (A word of caution for taller campers, I am 5'8 and I had just enough room in the bed area to stretch out). Our experience with Maria and Jay began from the moment we expressed interest in renting the camper. Maria, who anchors communications, was prompt and clear and excited about supporting our adventure. Once she learned of our travel plans, Maria offered a number of detailed itineraries, which was amazing. We ended up crafting our own unique itinerary with Maria's encouragement and support. The camper was clean and extremely well equipped for our six night journey. All bed linens were clean, as were the dish towels in the kitchen area. It is really quite amazing what this little camper can stow for the renter's convenience. Maria and Jay equipped us with everything we needed (except our food and drinking water, of course), and more, including good Coleman chairs, a great lantern, two excellent folding tables, pots, pans, bowls, skillet, sleeping bags (the main bedding linens) pillows, extra blankets, spices, utensils, food storage bags and more. Also included was a 12 foot square canopy (with sides) that can actually cover most of the teardrop for bad weather and to provide shade. We cooked full breakfasts and dinners with the propane stove. Neither of our campsites had electric hookups, so we did not use the fridge. Instead we traveled with an excellent R-tic cooler which kept our food cooled all week by only adding a bag of ice to the cooler every other day. Because we were not hooked up we also could not use the AC, which was not a problem for us. The ceiling mounted fan runs off battery power and it is excellent. Getting to Jay and Maria's house in Golden is a bit of a challenge, but their directions are excellent. Both provided a detailed and comprehensive overview of the camper when we picked it up which gave us confidence that our experience would be great, and it was. We are very grateful to Maria and Jay for providing us with such a well-supported and good-spirited adventure trip into the Rockies. Their love for the Rockies and their vision of providing this unique camping experience is really quite remarkable, and we are extremely grateful to them. Thanks so much, Maria and Jay!
