Review:

The Mountain Oasis Camping rig was comfy and had everything we needed and more. The only complaints I had with my rental was, the owner Brian had messaged us less than 2 weeks prior to pick up and had asked if we could pick up the camper later in the day(1pm or 2pm), considering he did not get it back from the previous renter until the night before. We told him we would really like to pick it up no later than 11 AM so we could get to our destination while it was still daylight. Less than 48 hours prior to pickup Brian messaged us saying that we needed to pickup the camper by 6AM or we could not pick it up till 4pm. and managed to slip in the fact that he had a new rule that we needed to download a GPS tracker on our cell phones so he could see that his camper was going to the agreed upon location. I am all for putting a tracking device on his camper, but at this point I feel as though this was an invasion of my privacy. NO WHERE in the rental agreement did it mention anything about tracking our cell phones. We complied with Brian's request due to fear of him not allowing us to rent the trailer with such short notice. At pick up I asked Brian questions about the app so I knew what I was getting myself into. Such as "can you see us after we drop it off?" I made Brian aware of my concerns of downloading such an app and had just suggested to put a tracking device on his camper in the future. Moving on before we reached our destination we stopped to fill up our gas can for the generator. At pick up Brian told us the generator would hold a gallon of gas and would last approximately 8 hours and that it was filled with gas. When we stopped at the gas station we checked the fuel level and it took us 1.4 gallons to fill the generator. When we got to our destination and plugged in the generator it only lasted us 4.5-5 hours. Definitely a large time gap than what he told us. The generator supplied could barley support the rig if you wanted the A/C on you were unable to use any of the other amenities at the same time, and at times it took restarting the generator 3 times to be able to run the A/C. Jumping to our Return. Brian told us yet again we either had to drop of the rig at 6 AM or after 4 PM. We arrived at 4pm after killing time in order to meet his time restrictions. We made sure to clean the camper to the best of our ability using the provided materials. We also dumped the sewage and filled the generator with fuel although it was not required There was a little bit of mud but very small on the ground since it had rained where we were at. After Brian and his wife had finished inspecting the camper they told us they were going to charge us $100 cleaning fee. We had also dumped the sewage twice. Once during our trip and a second time before returning. Brian had instructed us to put 2 bottles of septic treatment down the toilet after the first time dumping, and we didn't put any down the 2nd time as we were returning it that day and was told they would take care of it. At drop off Brian's wife was accusing us of taking their chemicals when we told her Brian had instructed us to place two bottles of chemicals down the toilet. After telling her this 4 times and feeling like she was accusing us of stealing Brian finally told her "I told them to use two bottles". She turned around with an attitude saying how expensive the cleaner was and went back into the RV. After discussing the Charges, Brian added in that for future reference he was going to get a GPS locator to actually install on the rig. And felt the need to tell us that because i "was so pissed off upon pickup about the app". I felt accused as to what my feelings truly were, because I asked questions to secure my own peace of mind regarding the app. The RV in its self was very nice however the owners ruined the experience.

We were two families of 4. Plenty of room, if the weather is bad. We did pop a tent at our site for a little extra room for sleeping at night. Easy to tow in a Ford F150. We would rent again if the need arises.

That insurance charge is a bunch of bull with a $1000 security deposit the insurance is has a $1500 deductible so I feel it is pointless to pay $98 for it with the security deposit

M and J were very easy to work with. They were flexible with working us to work out something that would work within our budget. They were responsive and helpful with questions especially when we couldn't figure out how to operate some of the trailer's features. The trailer is very nice and comfortable. It was thoughtfully stocked with everything needed to make our camping trip really enjoyable. There were no problems towing the large trailer with since we were able to rent the weight distribution and anti-sway hitch from M and J. There were a number of extras they offered including generator rental, camp tables and chairs, walkie talkies, tools and outdoor stove. We'd have no reservations to rent from M and J again.

We were so blessed by Ann and Mark when we rented their RV. They gave us excellent customer service and were available to answer questions we had along the way!! The RV has instruction manuals and recommendations to make your rental a truly remarkable experience. They weren’t kidding when they said the RV was stocked with everything you would need! Our family of 7 took a trip half way across the US in the Journey, and it was so comfortable!! When parked and you use the slide outs, it feels so spacious and wonderful. Ann has thought of most everything you need in the kitchen and a portable grill, should you choose to rent it, provides for easy set up for cooking outdoors. Ann and Mark are so gracious and wonderful to work with. Our experience was truly fantastic! Thanks so much for helping us to make family memories in the Journey!! Happy campers! Jen and Keith

I would not recommend renting from Dusty and his company RV Makeovers. While the camper appeared like the perfect camper, Dusty's business practices and decisions made this a terrible experience. Unfortunately, due to oversight from Dusty's employee, our camping trip was cut short because the electricity on this rental did not work as promised. We had to return home as we did not have heat for cold mountain night temps, and we could not expand the pop-out room to allow enough space for our toddler to sleep safely in a pack-n-play. We contacted Dusty about the issue and let him know that if it could not be fixed, we would have to return home. He said his employee would follow up with us. Neither of them followed up with help, to check on the situation, or to give us early return instructions. When we returned the RV, the employee admitted he made a mistake and apologized. We said we understand, mistakes happen, but we need a refund as the product we rented was not as promised, and we were unable to use it. Dusty's follow up to our request for a refund was shocking. Not only is he refusing to give us a refund, he accused us of returning the water and waste tanks used, insinuating that we lied about the situation. I still cannot believe a business person chooses to act in this manner. The acceptable approach would have been to follow up with us directly, discuss the situation, and offer a refund. Based on other reviews for RV Makeovers, it's apparent this is not a unique interaction.

From the speed of initial response to the help provided with a concern mid-use Chris was amazing to work with. The unit is nicely equipped with everything you need already stocked, minus food and bedding of course. The trailer pulls great and feels like a home away from home when set up with roomy kitchen, bath and beds for the whole family.

Marc was super helpful and everything went smoothly on his part. I don't have a complaint just didn't realize it was over my budget until I made a final review. So, only thing I'd change would be on the initial site to make the price correction so people are not blindsided by a bigger price (original price $50 when I checked out it was $90 a night not cool)

Sean gave us a great breakdown of info and list of "setup" and "teardown" instructions for us first-time trailer travelers. Neat and clean, and he was very forthcoming of any things to "look out for" or little tricks to get things done faster and the right way.. The Heritage Glen is a beast that was extra comfy for our group of 4; everyone gets their own bed!
