ON-SITE AMENITIES

You may want to check out the track's amenities as you plan out your trip. Also known as MIS, this speedway offers accessible seating in Center Sections 13-29 and 20-50 for those in wheelchairs and for guests who use other assistive devices. Furthermore, there are accessible transportation services for those who need help as well as handicap parking. Medical tents, ATMs, bathrooms, merchandise vendors and food and beverage vendors are all on-site, too.

LINEUP

As long as you have a wristband, general admission ticket or proof that you're staying in one of the campgrounds, you get free admission to the post-race concert. This year's lineup has yet to be announced. Some of the acts who performed after the 2019 race included Loverboy and Warrant. You can look forward to seeing other famous rock and country acts perform after the 2020 race.

RVING AT THE EVENT

You can save some time by getting an RV rental from RVshare, which lets you rent from owners who live in Brooklyn and nearby towns. After a day at the track, you'll be able to come back to your home on wheels and enjoy hot water in the shower, a clean bathroom and loads of space for stretching out and relaxing. Visitors coming for the FireKeepers Casino 400 can choose from nine different campgrounds/lots that range in price from $130 to $475 per package. Infield camping is available for those who want to stay in the middle of the action. These sites limit how often you can leave because the exits are often closed for practice and qualifying sessions. Some of the rules that you need to follow when staying at MIS include:

• Marking all stakes used for awnings and tents

• Having only one vehicle and RV per campsite

• Using reflectors on any bikes you bring

• Having an ID and a wristband to purchase alcohol

• Following all established noise regulations

• Agreeing to not sell merchandise, food or other items without a vendor's license

With more than 8,000 campsites available, MIS ranks as the state's biggest campground. Sites are available in the Infield, Turn 2 Retreat, Graves Family Campground, Brookfest Acres and other lots. The box offices at the M-50 Creekside Entrance and Infield are open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. to help visitors check in and out. Once the box office closes for the night, you cannot get back to your spot. That's why MIS encourages visitors to do their shopping and visiting early in the day. Some of the amenities that you can use during your stay include:

• Bagged ice sold by traveling vendors and at all Corrigan Oil convenience stores

• 24-hour golf cart service that takes you to all areas of MIS for just $5 per person

• Roaming trucks and dedicated shops where you can buy firewood

• Private portable restrooms for a small fee

• Companies that come to your RV to bring fresh water or empty your tanks

• Free recycling of plastic bottles and other materials

WHERE TO STAY

Camping

With an RV rental, you can stay right in the center of the track and camp in the infield. This lets you watch the race from the top of your motorhome. If you have seats, use the MIS taxis. MIS Camping oversees the campgrounds and sells reserved spots online. Available campgrounds include the following:

• APEX

• Turn 1 Resort

• Brooklyn Trails

• Tree Farm

Workers are on hand to direct you to the site that you booked and can help you set up, too.

Hotels and resorts

Brooklyn hosts a few hotels that are close to the track, including Super 8. The Sauk Valley Resort is a better option for some because it features a few more amenities. Located in the Irish Hills just 1 mile from the track, this resort has single and double rooms as well as dorm rooms for groups.

HOW TO GET THERE

The best way to get to the FireKeepers Casino 400 will depend on when you're traveling. Certain roads are closed on race days. You can learn more on the MIS plan-your-visit page

U.S. 12

When traveling westbound on U.S. 12, you will follow the directed flow of traffic to the Heritage Trail Lot, which is close to the main entrance. If you follow U.S. 12 eastbound, you'll take U.S. 127 or the Round Lake Highway to Junction Lot 11. Brooklyn Road is the main road in front of the track but is closed on race day.

M-50

You can travel to MIS via M-50 from the north or south. Southbound travelers will follow M-50 until they reach Wampler's Lake Road and turn into the Green Acres Lot 3. Northbound travelers will merge onto U.S. 127 from M-50 and park at the Heritage Trail 10 Lot.

MIS encourages visitors to look at the posted maps to ensure they understand the routes they need to follow when leaving.

PARKING

With several parking lots and trams, MIS makes it easy for race fans to get around. Each tram consists of a pickup truck pulling one to two cars that can hold up to 50 people. There are 15 trams running continuously on race day. Most parking lots have large spaces available for buses. The M-50 Crossover and Yellow Lot A offer motorcycle parking.

The lot where you park will depend on how you get to the track. Options include Heritage Trail Lot 10 off U.S. 12 and the Green, Blue and Yellow Lots north of the track. Parking attendants are on hand to direct traffic and help you get to a spot. All parking is free, but only a limited number of paved parking spots are available.

TICKETS & PRICING

Whether you want to buy tickets to the race, see the qualifying action, purchase a campground pass or add more to your package, you can do it online. You even have the chance to buy tickets to see the driver introductions up close or to get VIP access to the post-race concert.

Tickets for the FireKeepers Casino 400 start at $39 per ticket; these include seats in Turn 1 and Turn 4. Prices climb to $115 for the most expensive seats in the house, some of which are near the start/finish line. Race packages are available, too, which come with a room in the Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport Hotel and a ticket to the race. These packages range from $420 to $1,018 per person and have a layaway option.
