The biggest stars of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series get together the last weekend of August to earn their Darlington Stripe during the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR. Watch the thrills, turns, and heart-racing speeds of drivers as they fight for first place!

There are many amenities to make race weekend a lot of fun for guests. Visitors are allowed to bring in one 15x15x15-inch cooler with food and beverages. When you go RV camping at a NASCAR event, you get a cozy, up-close view of all the action, and have all your food, drinks, and other necessities just a few steps away. There are four RV campgrounds to choose from at the Sonoma Raceway. You can find out more about RV camping at the Raceway here.

Whether you own a motorhome or use a rental from RVshare, RV camping is a great way to travel for a NASCAR race! You’ll be able to watch the races, then head back to your own quiet retreat, with food and other comforts of home (and your own bathroom!).
If you decide not to camp, there are plenty of hotels in the area. Many of them even offer packages for race day weekend. You can often find good deals on travel sites like Expedia or Travelocity as well.
From Charlotte: Take US-74 E to Morgan Mill Rd. Turn left onto Morgan Mill Rd. Turn left onto W. Roosevelt Blvd. Turn right onto US-601 S and enter South Carolina. Continue onto SC-151 S/S Van Lingle Mungo Blvd. Continue until you see signs for the raceway.
From Raleigh: Take US-401 to US-52 N in Florence County. Take exit 164 from I-95 S. Merge onto I-40 E/US-64 E. Keep right at the fork and continue on to I-40 E, follow signs for Benson Wilmington. Take exit 328A to merge onto I-95 S toward Benson/Fayetteville. Keep left at the fork to stay on I-95 S. and enter South Carolina. Take exit 164 for US-52 W toward Darlington. Take the SC-34 W/SC-151 exit toward Hartsville/Charlotte and follow signs for the speedway.

Tickets can be purchased online. There are a variety of different options, from individual tickets to fan experiences you can purchase for the weekend!
