You can see Mount Nebo peeking over Lake Dardanelle from most of the campsites at Mission RV Park. These Russellville campgrounds occupy the site of the original Dwight Mission, a Presbyterian mission that was the first one to be established west of the Mississippi River. In 1838 and 1839, the Cherokee Indians crossed over this site as they were forced westward.

Why You’ll Love Mission RV Park

In addition to the historical significance of this landmark, its beauty entices many RVers to camp on the grounds. You can take a walk along the trail to the lake or sit among the trees in your favorite lawn chair.
