An hour and a half across Elliott Bay will take you from downtown Seattle to Manchester State Park, nestled on the shores of Wautauga Beach. The town is charming and slow-paced but offers all necessary amenities, including a Wal-Mart Supercenter and several golf courses. To get to Seattle, you have the option to park your car on Bainbridge Island, explore a little, and then take the ferry into the city center, or you can take the ferry from the nearby town of Southworth into the trendy neighborhood of West Seattle.
This unique and charming state park offers easy access to nearby attractions and sits right on the Puget Sound, making it perfect for saltwater lovers. Visitors rate the area’s diving very highly, and you can also enjoy swimming, sunbathing, and kayaking just outside your camper. The park is basic but has everything you need, including covered picnic areas, great walking trails, and recreational fields.
“Love this park! Fun little piece of history we didn't even know existed. Lots of rocks on the beach to explore and find crabs around! Camp ground is nice too! Lots of space between sites and facilities are well maintain” – Andrea Buchta, Google Review
