West of Lanett across the Georgia line is Pine Mountain where the surrounding beauty can be seen from every angle. While a swimming pool and fishing lake are on the property, the forest dominates the setting. You can hike past waterfalls and creeks as you admire the sights along the way.
F.D.R. State Park, the largest in Georgia, allows you to enjoy the openness of the countryside plus the history of the region. This Lanett-area campground is just a short drive from Roosevelt’s Little White House and other interesting attractions. You can also experience Dowdell’s Knob where the former president enjoyed an occasional picnic.
“No issues with any of the services. We thought the Cable TV did not work. Within 15 minutes of calling the front desk, they had a technician who took a look and determined the issues was with our trailer (and it was.)” – Joelbjr, RV Park Reviews
