The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Department runs Cherry Creek State Park. This RV park is located near an 880-acre reservoir where there are opportunities for boating, fishing, jet skiing, sailboarding, and swimming. The Centennial, Colorado campground offers sailing lessons in the summer.
In addition to hiking, biking and fishing, Cherry Creek State Park is a great place for model airplane flying and horseback riding. There’s also a family shooting range on-site. You should make reservations for weekends, especially during the summer when the park is packed. In the offseason, the park offers quiet and solitude.
“Love it because it has something for everyone for kids to bigger kids. For those who want to be in the water to those who just want to float in it. It has many beautiful views. And all through it’s surrounded by a road in certain areas of the park you won’t hear any vehicles and can enjoy purely the beauty of Mother Nature.” – Veronica, Google Review
