Cape Ann Camp Site is a charming campground and RV park 45 miles east of Lowell via MA-128 S and I-95 S. The pristine white sands of Wingaersheek Beach are just 1 mile away from Cape Ann Camp Site, and the surfing-friendly Good Harbor Beach is a mere 4 miles away. If you prefer hiking to boating, there are plenty of trails in this area to enjoy.
The quaint town of Gloucester sits directly south of the Cape Ann Camp Site and features the 7 Seas Whale Watch agency. If you’re in a high-culture mood, Gloucester also offers the Cape Ann Museum, Gloucester Stage Company, and Sargent House Museum. The Cape Ann Camp Site is just 2 miles from the MBTA Commuter Rail system if you want to stop by Boston, and Rockport and Salem aren’t too far away, either.
“A great spot! A ton of campsites, some with great views that are fairly secluded. They all have fire pits and the camp store sells wood, among a bunch of other helpful items. The women who run the place are friendly and helpful and they have discount passes to Wingersheek beach, which is a short drive away. Highly recommended!” – Chris Saccardi, Google Review
