Anthony Chabot Regional Park is part of the East Bay Regional Park District. It is open year-round and offers 71 miles of hiking and biking trails. It has interesting and varied eco-systems to explore.
This RV campground in Oakland, California, offers many outdoor activities starting with great hiking and biking trails. They lead through grasslands and eucalyptus groves as well as along the shores of Lake Chabot. There is a 31-mile hike from Richmond to Castro Valley that runs the length of the park, which also features a playground for children and fishing opportunities in the lake.
“This is a great campground only 20 minutes of the winding road from Oakland. Great in lieu of a super expensive hotel or just to get away… full hookups and decent site spacing. Some cell service… but not the strongest. – Jon, Google review
