Tiny houses are all the rage. Whether it’s a small apartment or a tiny home, people have been living “small” in Europe for a long time.
Now the team at Nice Architects out of Slovakia has created a new version of a mobile tiny home that can only be described as a high tech RV.
Introducing the Ecocapsule. A high tech, space age, egg-shaped dwelling.
This unique space measures in around 14.5′ long by 7.5′ wide by 8.8′ tall. The rounded capsule is covered with solar cells and includes a wind turbine. The team at Nice Architects is attempting to create a totally sustainable trailer by adding a rain catching system that collects the water as it rolls down the trailer and stores it in the fresh tank basement. Pump it up through the water filter and you are good to go!
Inside the Ecocapsule is a murphy style fold down bed. It also features a work space and a table for two. Think of it as “the luxuries of a hotel room now available in the wilderness.” The trailer offers a built in kitchenette along with a fully functional bathroom.
The Ecocapsule is currently only a prototype, but the team at Nice Architects hopes to have it available for sale in 2016. While no official price has been announced, you can expect to pay around $2,500 to have it shipped via container to New York. Take a look at the Ecocapsule website for more information.
