4 of the Coolest Places to Rent a Vintage RV

Do you love the idea of a vintage RV, but you don’t want to buy or restore your own? Why not rent one for the night! Here are four vintage trailer hotels that offer up cool vintage RVs complete with everything you need for a relaxing good time.

#1: Kate’s Lazy Desert Airstream Motel

Kate’s Lazy Desert near Joshua Tree, California has 6 six super cool Airstreams available for rent. With names like as Aqua Stripe, Red stripe and Yellow stripe, these restored beauties were designed with fun and colorful interiors by artists around the country.

Each trailer has a double bed that can accommodate 2 adults, a BBQ grill, basic cooking utensils, a coffee maker, and hammock.

#2: AutoCamp

In Santa Barbara, California you will find five vintage Airstream available for rent. There’s a 1962 Overlander that sleeps two, a 1959 outfitted for a family of 4, a 1972 Sovereign complete with a queen size bed and claw foot tub, a 1959 with a full kitchen, and a 1964 with a queen bed and soaking tub with jets.



All of the rentals include linens, cooking supplies, patios with chairs, and two complimentary beach cruiser bikes.

#3: Shady Dell Trailer Park

The Shady Dell is located in sunny Bisbee, Arizona. The park features nine vintage aluminum trailers including a 1950 Spartan manor, a 1957 Airfloat, a 1951 Royal Mansion complete with martini glasses and leopard carpet, and a 1947 Tiki Bus with a collection of vinyl records that sit next to a phonograph and a hand carved bar that will send you back in time.

Each trailer has a grass covered yard with lounge chairs, vintage radios, and televisions that only broadcast era appropriate programs. The Shady Dell also offers vintage magazines and books for your reading pleasure. Each trailer has a refrigerator, kitchen, dishes and linens.

#4 Lake Dale Resort

The Lake Dale Resort in the beautiful San Juan Islands of northwest Washington offers up a rental Airstream for the nature lover. Located lakeside with a secluded dock that offers complete privacy and the view of the lake, this is might just be paradise.

The renovated 1978 Excella Airstream includes a double bed with linens, a convertible sofa, dinette & kitchen, and full bathroom. An overnight rental of the Airstream includes a complimentary breakfast at the resort.

Whatever your style, whether it be a quiet place out in the desert, or an Airstream on a scenic lake, the hotels above have it all.
